PhD Scholarship opportunities currently exist within the Musculoskeletal Research Program at Griffith University to contribute to ongoing externally funded research involving the application of biomechanical modelling techniques to the study of lower extremity function. Successful applicants would work as part of a multidisciplinary research team on a project concerned with measurement and modelling of musculoskeletal function in the lower limb in various clinical conditions (knee surgery, myopathy, tendinopathy, bone fracture healing). The PhD candidates with also have the opportunity to work with our collaborators including Stanford University and Auckland Bioengineering Institute at Auckland University.

Experience with motion capture and use of OpenSim would be an advantage. Up to 4 scholarships are available. Domestic and international applicants are welcome. Start dates for the scholarships are negotiable. We reserve the right to not appoint and appoint by invitation.
