Sport scientists and physicians are invited from the biological, physical, behavioral, and medical disciplines to share their knowledge with an international audience of physicians, therapists, scientists, and coaches in the host city of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games (www.iocworldcongress.org).

Congress theme:
Science and medicine of human movement, including sports, physical activity, healthy lifestyles and the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries.

Congress program:
· Over 25 keynote and invited speakers who are prominent world leaders in their respective disciplines will present;
· for example, IOC Olympic Prize on Sport Sciences 2000 recipient -- John O. Holloszy, MD.
· Over 80 speakers will participate in 20 symposia on the latest sport science and medicine topics;
· · includes a special ACSM Symposium.
· · Free communication sessions encourage participation and the dissemination of new information.
· Pre-congress symposium organized by Pfizer.

Call for Papers:
Free communications will be accepted as poster, oral, or video presentations. A one-page abstract is due by 2 April 2001. Submit abstracts and get information at www.iocworldcongress.org.
