My name is Dan Parks and I am the editor-in-chief of the new publication, The Journal of Applied Golf Research[JAGR]. In brief, JAGR's main purpose is to bridge rigorous scientific research with practical application in golf. The target audience is sports scientists, medical and fitness professionals, as well as coaches and golf instructors. JAGR is a quarterly (online only) and published in March, June, September, and December. JAGR welcomes submissions in many different subject areas, but concentrates its attention towards studies that employ diagnostic tools such as fitness screens, 3d motion capture, force plates, pressure sensors, high speed video, eye trackers, and accurate ball flight monitors.
