On Thu, 24 Aug 2000, I asked whether biomechanical functional analysis
(especially measurement of foot pressures) had been used as an early
indicator of impending diseases which affects the neuromuscular system.
[The full question is detailed below]

Unfortunately, I only received ONE response. I am not sure if this
indicates that biomechanical analysis (especially measurement of foot
pressures) has NOT or CAN NOT be used as an early indicator of impending
diseases, or whether I simply failed to make contact with people working
in the area. Any further contributions would be most appreciated.

We have been co-operating with neurologists to stage Parkinsonians based
on movement analysis. This includes the (very) early detection of the
