Post-doctoral Position
Motion Analysis Laboratory
University of Delaware

Applications are now being solicited from highly motivated individuals for
an immediately available, 2 yr. Post-doctoral position in the Motion
Analyis Laboratory at the University of Delaware. This position is made
available through a grant from the US Army to study biomechanical and
structural factors in the etiology of tibial stress fractures in runners.
This is a dual-center, 5 yr prospective study in collaboration with the
University of Massachusetts. The primary responsibility of this position
is the coordination of the stress fracture project. Therefore, applicants
should have experience in project management and in the process of
motion analysis data collection and analysis.

Other ongoing topics of investigation in the laboratory include studies
of the relationships between lower extremity structure, mechanics and
injury, effect of orthotic intervention on mechanics, strike pattern and
mechanics during running and gait retraining in runners.

The Motion Analysis Laboratory is a 2500 sq foot facility which houses a 6
camera Vicon motion analysis system, including real time capabilities, 2
Bertec force platforms and a 16 channel Motion Labs EMG system.
