University of Texas School of Medicine, Department of Orthopaedics has an
immediate position available for full time, experienced investigator.
Applicants must have an earned doctorate in biomechanics, bioengineering, or
mechanical engineering with expertise in several of the following areas: animal
science, finite element modeling, computational mechanics and mechanical
testing. The successful candidate must be able to develop independent
extramurally-funded research as well as collaborate with both clinical and
basic science faculty in the Department of Orthopaedics as well as other
departments in the institution. The applicant will also be responsible for the
supervising and mentoring residents working on research projects and
participating in the education program for medical students and residents. .
Academic appointment will be commensurate with past experience. The University
