Graduate Assistantship in Biomechanics: The Human Performance Graduate
Program at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse is requesting
applications for a graduate assistantship position in biomechanics. The
graduate assistant would be required to complete a two-year (thesis
option) M.S. degree. Responsibilities would include assisting with
undergraduate and graduate biomechanics laboratories and research
activities. Research will include the effect of strength & power
training on muscle activity patterns and rate of force development. In
addition, assistance with on-going research as to the effect of
stretch-shorten cycle training on the muscle protein titin will be
required. Applicants are expected to have a background in biology and
physics. In addition, familiarization with strength & power training is
