Hello. We are currently having difficulty with our Betacam SP (model
UVW-1800) and are looking for advice/opinions as to whether we should fix
our current model, or look for another piece of equipment altogether. The
current model is only 3 years old, and has recently started "eating" our
tapes, which requires a replacement part to fix. Another concern is the
poor slow-motion quality of the video. My question is this- what other
types of video equipment are being used by those in the gait analysis world,
and what is the best choice to allow us to view high quality video in slow
motion? Is Beta the way to go, or would an SVHS player be better? Any
input would be greatly appreciated, you can respond to this e-mail. Thank
you for your time, and Happy Holidays!
