Job Description:
The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and the Division of Bone and Mineral
Diseases of Washington University have an IMMEDIATE opening for a

opportunities include the characterization of the mechanical, morphological
and chemical properties of bone from animals with altered bone metabolism
and the application of in vivo models for investigating the response of
bone to mechanical stimuli. Applicants must possess a Ph.D. and have
expertise in either biomechanics or bone biology. This is a good
opportunity for an individual with a background in one of these areas to
develop expertise in the other, and to become an integral member of a

collaborations with clinicians and biomedical scientists at the medical
school and with bioengineers and physical scientists on the main campus.
The fellowship is for a period of 1 year with a possibility for 1 year

Ph.D. in engineering or biomedical sciences or related discipline. Because
of NIH training grant restrictions, only citizens or noncitizen nationals
or permanent residents of the United States will be considered.
