Hello all;

The purpose of this correspondence is to request copies of existing data
or reference to data that meets the criteria provided below. The data
will be used in research on prediction of curve progression in pediatric
idiopathic scoliosis.

Specifically, I am looking for standing Cobb angle measurements, with
measurement date, for at least 50 untreated female patients with
idiopathic thoracic scoliosis. By untreated I mean no bracing, no
surgery. For each patient I seek at least five sequential Cobb angle
measurements separated by at least 3 months and begun at least 4 years
prior to skeletal maturity.

In tabular form:

Number of patients - 50
Sex of patient - Female
Disease type - Idiopathic
Curve type - Thoracic (left or right)
Treatment status - Untreated (no bracing, no surgery)
Data desired - 5 measurements of standing Cobb angle at least 3
months apart; measurements started 4 years prior to skeletal
maturity. Skeletal maturity measure. Measurement date of each
measurement.

I have read a number of papers in scoliosis curve progression prediction
and so far none provide such data.

Thank you,
