Dear Biomch-L Colleagues

This letter is addressed to those among you who are members of the
International Society of Biomechanics. I am following up on Guenter Rau's note
in the last newsletter (Number 79, page 4, December 2000) inviting members to
submit nominations for ISB Council.

We need candidates to stand for the position of President Elect and also for
the ten Council positions. Those eligible for President Elect must have already
served at least one two-year term on Council. Once elected, he or she will then
be on Council for 6 years (2 as President Elect, 2 as President, and 2 as Past
President). Those elected to Council will serve for two years and may, if
elected, serve a maximum of three two-year terms.

If you would like to nominate someone, including yourself, then please let me
or Brian Davis (davis@bme.ri.ccf.org) know by 31 January 2001. If you do
nominate someone, please make sure they are prepared to stand and, if elected,
to serve the society.

Sincerely

Kit Vaughan

President, International Society of Biomechanics
