Announcement: Post-doctoral position in human movement control

A 4-year post-doctoral position in human movement control is available at
K.U.Leuven, Belgium. The research project involves behavioral, fMRI, and
TMS studies on the control and learning of patterns of interlimb
coordination. The project is part of collaborative research between the
Laboratory of Motor Control, Dep. of Kinesiology, K.U.Leuven and the
Magnetic Resonance Research Centre of the Dep. of Radiology, Faculty of
Medicine, K.U. Leuven. The starting date is april 1, 2001. Desired
qualifications involve programming skills and experience with Statistical
Parametric Mapping. Various facilities are available to register 2-D and
3-D kinematics (Optotrak), EMG recording (including telemetric), magnetic
stimulation etc. The Motor Control Laboratory is a stimulating environment
currently consisting of 9 members with various backgrounds (physiotherapy,
kinesiology, biology, psychology, biomedical engineering and biophysics).
The salary is negotiable and depends on the applicant's qualifications (+
reimbursement of travel expenses).
