Research Assistant/Lab Manager in Human Sensorimotor Control
Institute of Neurology, University College London

We seek an energetic individual to work in an exciting research environment on a
project investigating how humans learn to make skilled movements. The appointee
will have the opportunity to contribute to all aspects of the research program and to
acquire a variety of research skills. S/he will be involved in the recruitment of
subjects and carrying out experiments; training in relevant research techniques,
including robotic and virtual reality interfaces and psycho-physical methods, will be
provided. S/he will additionally facilitate research within the group, taking
responsibility for the acquisition and maintenance of equipment and assisting with
budget management.

Applicants should be graduates and/or have relevant experience. A willingness to
learn and the ability to interact well with others are as important as current skills.
Familiarity with Word, Excel or web design would be advantageous. The post is
available now, for 3 years in the first instance. Starting salary will be in the range
18,909 to 22,599 per annum (inclusive of London Allowance) depending on
qualifications and experience.
