View Full Version : interchannel delay in data acquisition

03-14-2001, 05:48 AM
Dear All,

I apologize for my English. We are planning to buy an A/D card for a notebook (PCMCIA bus) to acquire a maximum of 8 channels (electrogoniometers, sEMG or forceplate ...) with a sampling rate of 2 kHz per channel.
Our software supports E-series daq cards by National Instruments. We would prefer a 16 bit card, but it seems that the only choice available by NI has a settling time of 50 microsec. This implies a (max.) delay of about 400 microsec. between the first and last channel sampled during the scanning process. Is this delay tolerable for biomechanical studies?
Any help or suggestion on this issue will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
