Headquartered in Warsaw, Indiana, Zimmer has global facilities and has the
following opening:

Engineer/Senior Engineer Specialist in Product and Process Simulation

Zimmer is seeking an engineer with experience in finite element analysis and
other simulation techniques to work in our research laboratories. This is a
full-time position, which primarily involves structural analysis of orthopaedic
implants in support of R&D projects. Additional responsibilities include motion
simulation using dynamic analysis software and simulation of metal casting using
flow/solidification software.

The incumbent will be expected to work closely with engineers and scientists in
R&D, manufacturing, etc. Strong written and verbal communication skills are

Candidates should have an M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering or a
related discipline. Experience in a manufacturing environment is a strong
plus. Preferred candidates will also have experience in the use of one or more
of the following software packages: ABAQUS/Standard, ANSYS, PATRAN, ADAMS, MAGMA
and CADFIX. Experience in nonlinear analysis is also important, particularly in
the modeling of polymer mechanical behavior and inter-body contact.
