Dear colleagues,

It is with great pleasure that I take this opportunity to invite you
to the second International Conference on Movement and Health,
scheduled to be held on September 15 - 18, 2001 in Olomouc - Czech
Republic.

The second international conference on Movement and Health addresses
a wide spectrum of unusual scientific issues in compliance with the
main theme of the conference. An integral part of the conference are
presentations by 12 keynote speakers whose scientific expertise
guarantees exceptional quality to the programme of the conference.
The invited lecturers represent key scientific disciplines and their
lectures are mainly centred on presenting a general overview of the
latest developments in the search for solutions to key problems in
respective domains. Other participants to the conference will have
the opportunity to take part in a fruitful discussion on related
topics with these specialists initially within the framework of
question and answer session (30-minute-discussion after each
lecture), and later within the framework of a rich social programme.
All participants are encouraged to present results of their research
in the form of posters within a specified period of time. The first
workshop, under the banner of IIHP (International Institute for
Health Promotion), will be dedicated to global prospects and complex
issues relating to health support in various corners of the world.
Participants to the second afternoon workshop organised by the
Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacky University and the staff of the
Centre for Outdoor Environmental Education, Linkopings University
(Sweden), will be able to discuss practical issues of prescription
and realisation of movement activity programme and of fundamental
orientation in outdoor education and recreation.

It is our sincere desire to see you all at this prestigious meet. The
following pages serve to provide you with basic information on the
conference.

I look forward to seeing you soon.
