Dear Biomch-L readers,
This message below might be of interest to those of us who provide studies
of balance or disabled athletes.
I hope you will at least be able to advise.

Mike Ishiguzor was a professional soccer player in Nigeria who had a bad
accident in training one day. His leg wasn't treated properly and doctors
had to amputate to save his life. After 6 months of deep depression he was
introduced to the disabled sports coach. He took up the javelin, won a
silver medal at the 1999 All Africa Games in Johannesburg and represented
Nigeria at last year's Paralympic Games in Sydney. He finished 8th out of 15
and was the only athlete there without a prosthetic limb!! HE BALANCES ON
ONE LEG TO THROW THE JAVELIN.

Mike managed to get a small sponsorship to come to London (UK) for a few
months. He would be willing to participate as a subject for a specific study
in Biomechanical Lab. Mike would be very happy if his talents and abilities
could be put to work in a relevant study. If you could come up with an idea,
here's where you can contact him:
