Colleagues,

A final reminder that the 2001 Annual Meeting of the American College of
Sports Medicine (ACSM) will be held in Baltimore, MD, USA from May 30 to
June 2, 2001. Additional program and conference details are available at
the ACSM website (http://www.acsm.org). A detailed listing of the
biomechanics-related programming at this year's ACSM meeting is located at
(http://faculty.pepperdine.edu/mfeltner/BIGACSM/acsm2001.htm) and abstracts
may be viewed online at (http://www.faseb.org/cgi-bin/acsm01-cgi/acsm01).
Prior attendees of the ACSM Annual Meeting should be aware that the abstract
issue of Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise will not be mailed in
advance of the Annual Meeting. Therefore, if you wish to review abstracts
of the presentations before arriving at the conference you must do it online
at (http://www.faseb.org/cgi-bin/acsm01-cgi/acsm01). Finally, be aware that
the ACSM bags/briefcases that have been distributed at prior Annual Meetings
will not be provided in Baltimore, please bring your own carry bag/briefcase
if you desire.

Additionally, the Executive Committee of the Biomechanics Interest Group
(BIG) of ACSM invites submission of biomechanics-related programming for the
2002 Annual Meeting. The 2002 Meeting of the ACSM will be held in St. Louis,
Missouri, USA from May 29 to June 1, 2002. Individuals interested in
developing program sessions or proposing ideas for programming content are
encouraged to submit their ideas to the Biomechanics Interest Group
(devitap@mail.ecu.edu or michael.feltner@pepperdine.edu) or they may present
their session idea at the meeting of the Biomechanics Interest Group in
Baltimore (the BIG meeting is Thursday May 31, 2001 from 5:45 to 7:15 pm in
Rooms 328/329 of the Baltimore Convention Center). Individuals are
especially encouraged to plan session content, including possible
presenters, prior to the BIG meeting so that more formal proposals for
sessions can be presented to the BIG members. A list of the types of
sessions that are included in the Annual Meeting can be found at
(http://faculty.pepperdine.edu/mfeltner/bigacsm/Sessions.htm).

On behalf of the BIG Executive Committee, I hope to see you in Baltimore.

Please feel free to forward this message to colleagues who may not subscribe

Sincerely,

Michael
