DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICAL THERAPY AND HUMAN MOVEMENT SCIENCES
NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY MEDICAL SCHOOL, CHICAGO, IL,USA.

Available immediately, applications are invited for a postdoctoral position
to study human movement and balance control with emphasis on the
contributions of predictive and feedforward mechanisms. The postdoctoral
fellow will participate in developing mathematical models of postural
balance and novel experimental approaches to studying balance using a new
high-performance linear sled. The laboratory participates in cooperative
research with the University's Division of Geriatric Medicine, the Buehler
Center on Aging, the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, the Department of
Bioengineering, and the Institute for Neuroscience.

Applicants should have a recent Ph.D. with a background and publication
record in motor control, computational neuroscience, engineering, or
biomechanics. Laboratory experience with motion analysis, force platforms,
and electromyography as well as modeling experience is important.
