Position: Tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant/Associate
Professor in Physical Activity and Health Studies.

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications: Teaching, research experience and a Ph.D. in an appropriate area of study are

Appointment Date: January 1, 2002 (open to negotiation)

Duties: Primary responsibility of the scholar in this position will be in Physical Activity
and Health Studies. The successful candidate will be expected to play a
leadership role in research while maintaining an active program of research and
scholarly involvement, external grant procurement, teaching and graduate
student supervision. In addition the successful candidate will participate in all
aspects of the Faculty and University including committee work, cross-
disciplinary initiatives, and community service. The successful candidate will
lead the development of research outputs and program outcome measures for
the Dr. Paul Schwann Applied Health and Research Centre.

The Faculty of Physical Activity Studies is a young and dynamic member of the University community
with administrative responsibility for both academic and co-curricular programs. The Faculty is in the
process of changing its name to the Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies. The opportunity exists
for the successful candidate to contribute to the health research agenda in the Faculty.
