The Department of Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Mechanics
(ME-EM)at Michigan Technological University is currently looking for
graduate students, either M.S. or Ph.D. interested in orthopaedic
biomechanics. Experience with finite element modeling is preferred.
Research assistantships are available with full tuition coverage. Start
dates are negotiable.

Michigan Tech is located in Houghton, next to Portage lake, in Michigan's
scenic Upper Peninsula near Lake Superior. The ME-EM department has more
than 50,000 square feet of laboratories in the thirteen-floor ME-Em
building. The laboratories house up-to-date instrumentation and equipment
for teaching and research, in addition to each graduate student receiving a
desk and Sun Ray workstation for their use while at Michigan Tech. The
department has over 40 faculty, with approximately 130 graduate students,
making it the third largest mechanical engineering department in the nation.
