June 10-12, 2002

Track 4: Experimental and Applied Mechanics: Research and Application
17: Time-Dependent Materials

Abstracts Due: October 8, 2001

The Time Dependent Materials Division of SEM is soliciting papers for the
Time-Dependent Materials sessions of the Experimental and Applied Mechanics
track of the 2001 SEM Annual Conference. Several sessions are being
organized to address the broad range of research associated with
time-dependent materials, such as tissue and polymers, used in the
biomaterials and biomedical industries. Topics of interest include, but are
not limited to:
- Material Development and Processing
- Experimental Techniques and Procedures
- Material and Mechanical Characterization
- Finite Element and Material Modeling
- Real Time and Accelerated Material Testing
- Real Time and Accelerated Component Testing
- Lifetime and Durability Analysis and Prediction

Prospective authors are asked to submit a short (not more than 500 words)
abstracts directly to Carl Popelar by OCTOBER 8, 2001. Upon acceptance,
authors will be asked to submit a 2-4 page paper, suitable for publication
in the Conference Proceedings, by March 11, 2002.
