Develop / Design knee instrumentation and implants.
Utilize PRO E CAD design package to create solid models and detailed
drawings for new designs. Organize and work with clinical design panels to
develop design options and clinical studies in order to validate concepts.
Moderate meetings. Incorporate meeting decisions into design concepts.
Provide follow-up and documentation of design decisions. Attend/manage
surgical evaluations with respect to new designs. Develop evaluation
protocols. Monitor /schedule evaluation sets.
Organize and manage multifunctional project teams. Including Manufacturing
/ Marketing / QA / Regulatory. Develop / maintain design control
documentation and project files. Develop / perform mechanical testing and
Finite Element Analysis. Develop and manage project time lines from concept
to full product release. Effectively transfer designs to manufacturing /
vendors. Effectively control design changes through the manufacturing
process. Incorporate design changes based on the evaluation into the final
product. Participate in sales force / surgeon training programs.
Demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills. Must be
willing to travel 25-33% of the time. Some international. Educational
background in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering preferred. However all
engineering disciplines considered Ability to lead people and work in a team
