FACULTY POSITION AVAILABLE

POSITION: Tenure track faculty position in gerontology. Minority and women
candidates are encouraged to apply. Appointment to commence in August 2002.

RANK: Beginning Associate Professor

QUALIFICATIONS: Earned doctorate, evidence of scholarly activities, and
extramural funding in the area of gerontology. Preference will be given to
candidates who can contribute to the teaching and research agenda of a
multidisciplinary department that includes health promotion & disease
prevention and the exercise sciences.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain a line of gerontology research, continued
grantsmanship, professional involvement in the field of gerontology, teach
undergraduate and graduate courses, advise graduate student research,
participate in department and university service, and provide leadership in
departmental collaboration in campus-wide interdisciplinary gerontology
program.

COMPENSATION: Competitive and commensurate with qualifications of the
applicant.

continue until position is filled.
