The University at Buffalo Center for International
Rehabilitation Research Information and Exchange
(CIRRIE) is developing a bibliographic database
containing citations relating to rehabilitation
research conducted outside of the United States. The
database is free and available on the Internet at

Disability and rehabilitation research crosses many
disciplines. Relevant information is scattered across
many information resources. CIRRIE is collecting
citations from all areas of rehabilitation and
compiling them into one central source. In addition
to indexing from mainstream journals, CIRRIE includes
citations to resources not readily available to U.S.
researchers, as well as to full text publications on
the Internet. Abstracts are available for most
citations. The database is updated monthly. It
presently includes citations from 1996 to the present
and will eventually include citations from 1990 to the

CIRRIE is funded by the National Institute for
Disability and Rehabilitation Research of the U.S.
Department of Education. Its mission is to facilitate
the exchange of information and expertise between
researchers in the United States and those in other
countries. We invite you to visit CIRRIE at
http://cirrie.buffalo.edu and use the database as well
as the other resources available on the site.
