Assistant Professor, Physical Education (Full-time tenure-track)
Department of Movement Arts, Health Promotion and Leisure Studies
Bridgewater State College, Bridgewater, MA 02325
DATE OF NOTICE: October 30, 2001 DATE OF APPOINTMENT: Fall 2002
Review will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled
Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate courses in biomechanics and courses
in a CAHEEP Accredited Athletic Training Program; ability to teach a variety
of other courses including applied musculoskeletal anatomy, developmental
kinesiology, and physical education activity courses; advise undergraduate
students. There is potential to teach and advise in the graduate program for
additional compensation.
Qualifications: An earned doctorate in Biomechanics/Kinesiology or related
field; demonstrated experience in the clinical supervision of athletic
training students; NATA certification required and eligibility for licensure
in Massachusetts as an athletic trainer. Demonstrated teaching experience
in athletic training, specifically in therapeutic exercise, therapeutic
modalities, and pharmacology; demonstrated experience with integration of
technology in the classroom; and demonstrated scholarly professional
development, especially in biomechanics or athletic training.

teaching and learning, the ability to work collaboratively, evidence of
scholarly activity, and a commitment to public higher education.
Salary will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
