DEPARTMENT OF EXERCISE AND SPORT SCIENCE

Professor, Reader and Lecturer/Senior Lecturer
Positions

The Department of Exercise and Sport Science would
welcome applications from highly qualified scientists who
are interested in one or more of the following positions:

Professor in Exercise and Sport Science: Professorial
salary not less than 40k. Reference: JB019
Reader in Exercise and Sport Science: currently 30,519
to 38,373 (2% increase agreed from 1 February 2002).
Reference: JB020
Two Lecturer/Senior Lecturers in Exercise and Sport
Science: currently 19,191 to 32,265 (2% increase
agreed from 1 February 2002). Reference: HJ394AC

All candidates need to have a specialism in physiology or
psychology or an ability to integrate material across the two
areas or either one of these areas and biomechanics.

Applications would be particularly welcomed from
colleagues with a record of achievement in clinical or
applied areas of exercise or sport science with particular
reference to exercise biochemistry, molecular biology,
nutrition, cardiovascular physiology, exercise psychology,
neuromuscular control or neuroscience.

All successful candidates will demonstrate that they have the
ability to work effectively in a team environment.
