BIOMECHANICS SUPPORT PROJECT FOR SPRINTS, HURDLES AND RELAYS
UNIVERSITY OF BATH, UNITED KINGDOM

Biomechanics Research Studentship
(7,500 with yearly increment plus UK/EU student tution fees)

As part of its World Class Performance Plan, UK Athletics is funding a
biomechanical support project for its elite sprint, hurdle and relay
squads. The project is directed by Dr Aki Salo, a BASES accredited
biomechanist based at the University of Bath.

The Department of Sport and Exercise Science is seeking an individual
to assist in delivering biomechanical support to Britain's elite
sprinters and hurdlers and to undertake applied research. The
successful applicant must have a good first degree (upper second or
first - or equivalent) in Sport and Exercise Science or a related
discipline including a strong grounding in biomechanics. Current final
year undergraduates or master's students are eligible to apply. An
understanding of related coaching issues in sprints, hurdles and relays
is also desirable.
