View Full Version : Kinematic data for initial transtibial gait

Dear List members:

I am interested in comparing two gait training techniques for initial transtibial prosthetic gait and I am having difficulty finding research that discusses typical kinematics for early prosthetic gait. The limited research I have found for transtibial gait includes kinematics of the knee only and most gait studies are with participants who have been ambulating with their prosthesis for an extended length of time.

I am interested in kinematics of the knee, hip and trunk during the early phases of gait training (first 4 months).

Any input on related research or articles would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time.
