View Full Version : Cooperative Education Placement

Dear All

I have a 2nd year sport and exercise science student here at UL who is
currently exploring his options for a cooperative education placement in
2003 (from approx February to august).

His major interests are biomechanics, both clinical and sports related, or
biomedical engineering. The student is of a good academic standing
(bordering between a 1st class and a high 2:1 degree classification - but
when considered without his (non science) elective option definitely a 1st
class student).

He is looking for a lab-based work placement and is willing to travel almost
anywhere for the right opportunity, the placement will preferably carry
payment but he may be willing to volunteer if the right opportunity arose.

Prior to the placement semester he will have completed 4 modules in
biomechanics, including A&K, basic quantitative biomechanics, advanced
qualitative biomechanics, and a module in advanced quantitative
biomechanics. He has strong skills in motion analysis, force plate work,
EMG etc.

If you require a student to work on a research project for 7 months or so in
2003 or if you need an extra hand around your laboratory this may be a good
opportunity for both my student and your lab.

Please reply to me with any ideas or placement opportunities.
