Dear BIOMCH-L list members:

Iím a graduate student in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Texas
at Arlington, and am conducting Masterís research on the implementation of a
passive marker video system for the measurement and analysis of
multi-segmented foot motion during walking. I have done a literature review
and have found a few articles, but would like to know that I have not missed
any important work in this field. Any awareness of other research done
using a multi-segmented foot model and a camera tracking system would be
very helpful. If you are doing research in this area, or know of someone
who is, and would like to share knowledge of both successes and potential
pitfalls, please reply. Examples of some concerns include: a) impact of
marker size and location on capture volume and quality of tracking, b)
optimal camera positioning and spacing, and c) number of segments and
location of segment coordinates for optimal clinical usefulness. Thanks in
advance for your help!
