Graphics Researcher in Motion Capture

Established in the 1970s, The Advanced Computing Center for the Arts and
Design (ACCAD) is a multi-disciplinary center where scientific
investigation meets aesthetic ideals by using technology in innovative
ways. A leader in computer technology that supports research in the
arts and sciences, ACCAD forms partnerships with visual and performing
artists, designers, art historians and critics, computer scientists,
engineers and architects.

We are looking for an innovative programmer who wants to be part of a
creative and engaging collaborative team of designers and scientists.
This position offers the opportunity to use state of the art motion
capture technologies and requires strong interests in emerging research
and development issues and agendas in area of graphics and 3D animation.

Experience needed in programming 3D graphics applications and GUIs,
computer graphics and animation, computer vision, real-time and parallel
architectures, or biomechanics; Unix, and Windows platforms. Previous
knowledge of Motion capture systems (Vicon) not necessary but an
intellectual curiosity about this technology is essential. We are using
the following CG software packages: Bodybuilder, FilmBox, Diva, Maya,
and Houdini.

Applicants should possess the ability to work productively and
collaboratively with staff, faculty and graduate students.
