Position Title: Assistant Professor, School of Human Movement, Sport, &
Leisure Studies; Sport Management, Recreation, & Tourism Division

Primary function: Teach courses in Athletic Training / Clinic Management,
conduct research in a related area

Specific Responsibilities:
∑ Teach undergraduate courses in Athletic Training / Clinic Management
(e.g., care and prevention of injuries, evaluation and pathology of
injuries, therapeutic modalities, therapeutic exercises, therapeutic
medications and health conditions)
∑ Conduct research in a related area
∑ Supervise field experiences in athletic training
∑ Write and submit proposals for external funding
∑ Advise undergraduate and graduate students
∑ Establish academic and scholarly reputation, and participate in
professional leadership roles
∑ Participate in customary service activities

Professional Qualifications:
∑ NATABOC certification and eligible for Ohio licensure
∑ Earned doctorate in a field related to athletic training; consideration
may be given to ABDís with imminent completion
∑ Demonstrated potential or evidence of effective teaching
∑ Demonstrated potential or evidence of research activity
∑ Practical experience is valued
∑ Preference will be given to individuals with knowledge of CAAHEP program

Rank and Salary: Tenure track. Assistant Professor. Salary commensurate
with qualifications and experience
