Dear Colleagues,

USA Gymnastics announces a Call for Papers for the Science in Gymnastics
Symposium. As Co-Directors of the Symposium, we would like to invite anyone
with scholarly interest in gymnastics to submit one or more papers for
consideration. The Symposium will be held during 20-23 August, 2003. The
headquarters hotel for the congress and Symposium is the Anaheim Marriott.

The Symposium will focus on all aspects of gymnastics. The audience will
include scientists, physicians, practitioners, and other interested parties.
All papers will be peer reviewed and published in the Symposium Proceedings.

The language of the Symposium is English. Presentations will be limited to
15-20 minutes depending on the topic and the number of submitted papers. If
the number of submissions is sufficient, the Symposium may expand to include
22 August, 2003.

Potential presenters should submit complete papers electronically to William
A. Sands, Ph.D., Director of Research and Development USA Gymnastics at:
kfeldmann@usa-gymnastics.org no later than 1 March, 2003. If your attendance
at the Symposium is doubtful, please do not submit a paper. Submitted papers
(including references and illustrations) must be submitted in Microsoft Word
format, using #12 Times-New Roman font, and with 1 inch (2.54 cm) margins on
all sides. Illustrations, tables, and graphs should be integrated directly
into the paper. References should follow the format of the American
Psychological Association (APA). Acceptance or rejection notification will
be made by April 1, 2003.

We sincerely hope that you and your colleagues will consider submitting
scholarly work on gymnastics for presentation at the Science in Gymnastics
