We seek an energetic and enthusiastic individual to work in an exciting
research environment on a project investigating how humans learn to make
skilled movements. The appointee will have the opportunity to
contribute to many aspects of the research program and to acquire and
exercise a variety of research and technical skills. S/he will be
involved in the acquisition, maintenance and development of equipment,
including new and existing virtual reality and robotic technologies that
are used extensively in the scientific study of human movement. In
addition, the appointee will facilitate research within the group by
maintaining the lab environment, recruiting experimental subjects,
assisting with experiments and with purchasing, budgeting and
maintaining the groupís website.

Applicants should have strong practical skills and a degree or similar
qualification. The post would suit someone with a broad set of skills
which would ideally include basic electronics, workshop skills, computer
programming, instrumentation and physiological measurement.
