I found only one source that discusses bicycle helmets and body
temperature.

Ellis, A.J., Bertolini, A.F., Thompson, L.A. A review of research on
bicyle helmet ventilation. Sports Engineering 3(3), 2000,
185-194

Perhaps articles regarding body temperature and helmets would be of use to
your research:

Sheffield-Moore M, Short KR, Kerr CG, Parcell AC, Bolster DR, Costill DL
Thermoregulatory responses to cycling with and without a helmet.
Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise. 29(6):755-61, 1997 Jun.

Antonelli, Massimo MD. Conti, Giorgio MD. Pelosi, Paolo MD. Gregoretti,
Cesare MD. Pennisi, Mariano Alberto MD. Costa, Roberta MD. Severgnini,
Paolo MD. Chiaranda, Maurizio MD. Proietti, Rodolfo MD. New treatment of
acute hypoxemic respiratory failure: Noninvasive pressure support
ventilation delivered by helmet-A pilot controlled trial.
Critical Care Medicine. 30(3):602-608, March 2002.

Ellis, A. Are helmets with many vents all show and no airflow?
Bicycling Australia 12(1), Jan/Feb 2001, 56;58;60;62;64;66;68

Bertolini, A.F., Thompson, L.A. A review of research on bicyle helmet
ventilation. Sports engineering 3(3), 2000, 185-194

John, D., Dawson, B. The effects of wearing 2 different cycling helmets
on thermoregulatory responses to prolonged submaximal exercise in hot, dry
conditions. Journal of human movement studies 16(4), 1989, 203-214

Actually getting away from the phrase "bicycle helmet" leads to productive
results regarding cycling and helmets and thermoregulation of which the
articles below the first one are good indicators.

I hope this is of help to you with your research.
