Dear members,

I am using VICON to measure upper limb activity in elderly subjects. I need to accurately locate joint centres in the fingers and am considering using the method of instantaneous helical axis to locate the flexion axis of the joint. The joint centre could then be determined as the intersection of the IHA with the long axis of the finger segment. I am hoping to use a cluster of three markers on each finger segment.
I am constrained to using Bodybuilder for this project and am aware that there is the possibility of calculating the "helical vector" within Bodybuilder language. I am interested if anyone has used Bodybuilder to determine joint centre location using helical axes and how they went about it.

Many thanks,

Vicky Hood.
