The heart of Nike is built around one simple idea -- innovate. Whether that
innovation is called Nike Air or ACG or Swift or Shox, the principle is the
same: think something that nobody has thought before, or improve something
that already exists. It's how we create our products, and it's the way we
treat the people we work with.

So take chances. Think bigger than the next achiever. Just know one thing.
The more you succeed, the higher we'll raise the bar.

But would you really want it any other way?

As our Research Assistant, you'll perform product performance research aimed
at increasing understanding of customer needs and activity requirements in
order to develop technologically innovative Nike Footwear, Apparel and
Equipment products that are globally relevant. You'll act as a full-time
member of the Footwear, Apparel and Equipment Product Creation process.
You'll also interact with our Senior Researchers and Product Analysts in all
phases of research to provide holistic product evaluation; participate in
the development of new tools, methods and procedures, including both
hardware and software; and streamline the data acquisition process and
analysis to improve research efficiency. This opportunity also involves
becoming the resident expert for one of the research tools used by the Nike
Sports Research Lab staff, providing training for colleagues and acting as a
liaison with the supplier of your chosen research tool. In addition, you'll
demonstrate Nike's commitment to product performance research through
presentations at scientific meetings, clinics, conferences and publications
in scientific journals.

Requirements for the position include:
- Master's degree in Biomechanics, Mechanical Engineering, Bio
Engineering or Ergonomics or a Bachelor's degree in Biomechanics, Mechanical
Engineering, Bio Engineering or Ergonomics plus 3 years' research experience
- Experience with the tools used to collect biomechanical and
ergonomics data
- Able to function in a team
- Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills
- Prefer research experience in locomotion and/or footwear
- Excellent publication record is preferred

Interested yet? Good. Us too. We're pretty sure you'll want to know we offer
one of the most generous benefits packages around. Things like a stock
purchase plan, a 401(k) retirement plan, casual work environment, childcare
and a host of other perks we don't have room to mention here.

We're interested in learning more about you and appreciate you taking the
time to apply online.

Nike is committed to employing a diverse workforce. EOE/M/F/H/V
