The Biomechanical Engineering Lab in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery,
Washington University has an immediate opening for a post-doctoral fellow
in the field of bone mechanics and skeletal mechanobiology. A motivated
individual is needed to work on an NIH-funded study on the skeletal
response to in vivo fatigue loading. You will become an integral member of
a multidisciplinary orthopaedic research laboratory at a major medical
center. Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in either mechanical engineering,
biomedical engineering or bone biology. Preference will be given to
applicants with a proven record in musculoskeletal research. This is an
excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong background in bone
mechanics to develop expertise in bone biology, or vice-versa. The
fellowship is for a period of two years.
