View Full Version : FEM software

I am a phd student wanting to do some finite element modeling. My
impression of the various software packages is that they are like
statistical software - there is a trade-off between power and ease of
use/learning curve. The models i will be doing are reasonably simple, so i
would like to end up more on the "ease of use" side of things.
I'd greatly appreciate input from anyone doing finite element modeling -
what software are you using, is it fairly intuitive, etc.
Many thanks, and of course i'll post a summary of responses.
