To all,

Thanks to everyone who tried to help me out. Most of the response were from
people also interested in finding induced acceleration Matlab code! I have
posted the same question to matlab@yahoogroups.com and will let anyone know
if I get positive responses.

I think this is not a productive use of your time.

I just don't see what the method tells you. Its elaborate accounting
with very little meaning outside the context of mechanisms actuated
by force-controlled actuators. I've spent many hours thinking on
it and discussing it with the proponents and, though it adds up
mathematically, it just doesn't add up as useful for biomechanics
as far as I can see.

I'd be interested in the responses to this one. I have been peripherally
involved in this work
through my connections to NIH and Scott Selbie's company, C-Motion
.
Their software (which is an upgrade of NIH's Move3D) does IAA but needs
ADAMS as well. It is all a
bit too complicated for me, and I have been waiting until they "hardwire" it
into Visual3D. As I
understand it, the problem is in deciding on the best foot model and other
'fine-tuning'.

The other guy you might try in the area is Mukul Talaty at Moss Rehab. I
think he has implemented
IAA in MATLAB.
