Motor Behavior – Assistant Professor

Pacific University seeks an assistant professor (tenure-track) to join the
Exercise Science program starting August 2004 (earned doctorate required).
The Department curriculum currently emphasizes natural science perspectives
and aims to enhance the integration of behavioral science views with this
new position. Teaching duties include new or current courses primarily in
the area of in motor learning and/or control, but may also include
psychosocial aspects of exercise, injury and/or rehabilitation;
development/gerontology; pedagogy; research design; nutrition and/or health,
depending on expertise. Additional responsibilities include academic
advising and internship supervision. Exercise Science is a young, vibrant,
science-based undergraduate program in the Division of Natural Sciences and
has excellent articulations with Pacific’s graduate programs in education
and the health professions. New faculty will help shape this dynamic
