Doctoral Graduate Assistantship Position Available

The Division of Athletic Training in the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences College of Health Sciences is seeking a highly motivated student interested in pursuing a doctorate. 10-Month Position Available - August, 2004. Renewable for 3 years.

Location: University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY

Position Description: include clinical responsibilities working in a sports medicine clinic and as research assistant for an athletic training faculty member in the Division of Athletic Training in the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences, College of Health Sciences.


1. 2 years experience as an ATC and/or PT.

2. Earned master's degree.

3. Previous experience in research.

4. Interest in clinical research is required.

5. Good computer skills.

6. Good oral and written communication skills.

Stipend: $9,000/year (10-11 months), including tuition waiver and health insurance for fall and spring semesters The University of Kentucky offers the option of an: a PhD in Exercise Science (Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology) through the Department of Kinesiology in the college of Education (http://www.uky.edu/Education/KHP/gradprog.htm); or a PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences through the Department of Rehabilitation in the College of Health Sciences (http://www.mc.uky.edu/rehabsciences/ ).
