Dear subscribers,
I wanted to ask if someone knows or has a product or a prototype of a Mechanical simulation of the Gastrointestinal (GI) system Motility especially the colon (not software speaking but with materials and motors that could simulate the GI system activity). This is a new project so we are gathering information. We do know that the GI system has some movements Peristalsis and segmentation movements, which passes in waves (the frequencies and velocities change at different places in the GI system) and we want to study them. We are checking improvements that can be made for colonscopy procedures. If someone knows of a product/ has experience with this field / has ideas of relevant materials to develop such a device/ knows of relevant papers on the subject, it will be very helpful.
Thank you very much.
