I volunteer at the Children's Rehab Center in St. John's, NL in the gait
lab. I'm trying to determine for the PT's when gait events actually occur.
Is there a consensus when using video data when first contact occurs? Is it
the frame when the regular video shows the contact of the foot with the
floor, or when the tracked heel marker appears to have zero velocity, or
some other characteristic? We are using Peak 4.0 to record our marker
positions, and the GaitLab model that comes with the software, developed by
Kit Vaughn I believe.

Thanks for any advice,
Angela J. Tate, M.Sc.
