View Full Version : Help with isokinetic dynamometer purchase

03-30-2004, 07:11 PM
Dear list

We are currently gathering information regarding the purchase of an
isokinetic dynamometer. In order to speed up this process I would be
interested to hear of any recommendations for particular
devices/manufacturers you may have experience of. We are contacting
manufacturers/distributers directly but would be glad to receive any
references you might be willing to offer.

We intend to make use of the equipment for teaching across a broad range

of undergraduate sport and exercise science programs, research
(particularly for undergraduate dissertations) and for testing of
individuals/athletes from local sports teams (amateur and professional).

We require the capability for testing multiple joint movements. The
available budget is likely to be between 30-40k. Is there a gold
standard that fits this bill? We would also consider a second hand unit.

As you can probably decipher our knowledge regarding such devices is
limited and therefore we are trying to gain as much helpful information
as possible.

Thank you for any help you might be able to give

Kind regards
