I am about to do some sprint training analysis with one of the to[ Australian hurdle coaches. It is a joint venture where we are both looking to learn from the experiment. Of you have any ideas or lessons from past experiences then please could you let me know.

For example:

1) the athlete must be running at maximum speed for the analysis to be valid;

2) the camera should not pan, but rather be at 90 deg to the athlete (in other words at the same angle through out the film clip);

3) there should be a pre-measured (and marked) area/line that can be used as a distance reference for the computer program. Have you tried marking/measuring a body part?

Next week I am probably going to do some baseball analysis too. Any suggestions there? And what about tennis? Any other sports that you might have some experience that you could pass over would be greatly appreciated.
