We are working to develop a risk assessment tool and one of the factors we
are looking at is weight. We have some pre-set military maximum allowable
weights (MAWs) that we use to limit lifting activities. Has anyone done or
does anyone know of research that looks at using MAWs as a basis for
determining injury risk (for example, using a multiple of MAW to segregate
injury risk into categories such as severe, moderate, minimal etc).

Thanks!
