Dear colleagues,
we are in the process of evaluating the benefits and/or detriments of stretchin
g and warming up onto sports performance, especially jumping height (standing
jumps on a force platform). We are aware of many studies which have analyzed pa
ssive and active warm-up and stretching with isolated muscles. We are, however,
interested in the overall performance of whole body action (after preparatory
exercises) in a sports situation. Is anybody aware of studies that have been do
ne on that subject ? We appreciate your response.
