Please respond to Dr. Struthers directly (bjstruthers@bjsltd.net) if you
know of available data. Thanks.

I'm a toxicologist, and am currently consulting for a client who is working
on an immune therapy that involves injecting drug directly into specific
muscles. The relative muscle mass for the targeted muscle groups is one
perspective that they need to consider for their dosing and safety
studies. They need to be able to convert dose information from rats to
monkeys to man.

In order to do this, they need to know the weight (or volume?
cross-sectional area?) of each of the muscle groups they're using in rats,
monkeys and humans (or more accurately stated, what the range is, since the
variability is likely to be great). They haven't decided which muscles to
use yet, or I'd be more specific.

Are data available, and if so, where?
